Manifesto

You built the audience. You should own the upside.

Ten things we believe about creators, offers and the help worth paying for. They are also the rules we hold ourselves to.

  1. The audience is yours. So is the upside.

You did the slow work of earning people's trust, one post at a time. Whatever you build on top of it should leave you in control, and keep the reward with you.

  2. Evidence before products.

The best offer usually starts in your comments, not in a brainstorm. Read what people ask, save and come back to before anyone suggests building anything.

  3. Prove it. Don't gamble.

Posting and hoping is playing the slot machines. We'd rather test: a short survey, a waitlist, the numbers on what you've already posted. Find out what works before anyone puts money or months behind it.

  4. Not launching is a valid answer.

Sometimes the right move is to grow first, or to fix what you already sell. Advice that always ends in a launch is a sales pitch.

  5. Show the working.

Every claim about your audience should point back to the posts it rests on. If you can't check it, you shouldn't have to trust it.

  6. Flat fees by default. Shares only by choice.

Software you pay for shouldn't take a cut of what you earn. A revenue share belongs in a partnership you choose, for real work someone does alongside you.

  7. No one can promise you a number.

We show illustrative math, label it as illustrative, and say plainly that results vary. Anyone who guarantees your income is guessing, or selling.

  8. You approve everything.

Nothing gets built, published or launched in your name without your say. Help should feel like a sharp operator at your side, not a takeover.

  9. Small audiences count.

A few thousand people who trust you can be enough to test an idea. Fit matters more than follower count.

  10. Keep making the content. Leave the marketing to us.

Being yourself on camera, week after week, is the part nobody can fake. Marketing is a separate craft. Good help doesn't just advise you and leave you to it: it handles the drafting, structure and follow-through, so you can bring the expertise and the final word.

That's the deal. I use Audience Upside myself, so I'm held to it too. If we ever fall short, tell us.
